“Story of Dave”
It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to with the hopes that you will help us honor and remember Dr. Dave Avery. Dr. Avery passed away after a long illness leaving his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and two young granddaughters. No doubt many of you, like I knew and had great respect for Dr Avery. He dedicated his career to family medicine and served many years on our AFP board. In memory of Dr. Avery the AFP is hoping to collect stories of his life to share with his family and one day with his young grand daughters. Stories do not need to be lengthy, and may be about the value of family medicine, his college research project on flies, or any other anecdote you may want to pass along.
